The Salvation Army has a number of different programmes in various parts of the world that are designed to improve the economic status and security of local communities. Many of these involve the women of the community, allowing them some form of income generation and leading to improved status and empowerment within those communities. In this presentation we will view these initiatives and what has been accomplished.
