The COVID-19 pandemic presented the world with an unprecedented challenge, yet the concerted efforts of different actors resulted in important successes and lessons on how global challenges can be tackled. A key area of action on the pandemic is advocacy and policy engagements at all levels. A study on how the Lutheran World Federation (LWF) and some of its partners addressed COVID-19 from an advocacy perspective shows some of the steps taken to frame and influence decisions around the pandemic – and an overall lesson that until all are safe, no one is safe.

We are pleased to invite you to the launch of the report from this study undertaken for the LWF by the Joint Learning Initiative on Faith & Local Communities (JLI).

It will take place and livestreamed on February 3, 9:00 am ET/15:00 CET here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHe71TW-MRI and at the Church Centre for United Nations, 777 United Nations Plaza, New York, NY 10017

If you would like to receive an electronic copy of the report, please make your request here: https://mailchi.mp/lutheranworld/action-for-justice-covid-19-report and we shall send it to you after the launch.
