Collaborating for Impact: A Guide to Co-Creation in Development Research is the global launch event of ‘Co-creation in Development Research: A Practical Guide for Researchers, a comprehensive resource designed to equip researchers with the tools and strategies for meaningful collaboration.

Join Christian Aid as they speak with seasoned researchers and practitioners to explore the power of co-creation in development research. This event will feature insightful discussions, practical tips, and real-life examples of how co-creation in development research links to decolonisation, shifting power and building equitable research partnerships. You will also hear about the challenges of implementing such approaches and ways to overcome them.

It will bring together researchers, development practitioners, and policymakers to explore how co-creation can enhance research impact, foster inclusive partnerships, and drive real change.

Keynote Speaker

Prof Eunice Kamaara, a professor of African Christian Ethics at Moi University, Kenya, is an ethicist with over thirty years of experience in transformative research for holistic health development.

Panelists

  1. Pradeep Narayanan, Advisor, Praxis Institute for Participatory Practices, India and co-anchor of the initiative, Sindhanai. He is a participatory practitioner who has led a number of projects that aim at facilitating community participation in research, training and development.
  2. Dr Tara Korti works with Christian Aid as the Thematic Research Specialist. She is a social science researcher. Her expertise and interests are focused on qualitative research, research ethics, co-creation in research, impact assessment, community organizing, climate change.
  3. Bintu Kamara is a passionate social justice and development practitioner in Sierra Leone. She is a trainer, speaker, and a onetime journalist, with a vast experience in the area of program- development, implementation, and management for organisations and institutions and currently working for the Fifty-Fifty Group Sierra Leone as Program Officer.
