Arigatou International will be hosting a live event of the World Day of Prayer and Action for Children 2021 at the EXPO Dubai. It will be live streamed at this link

The World Day of Prayer and Action for Children is celebrated every year on November 20, the same day as the anniversary of the adoption of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and World Children’s Day.

Arigatou International launched the World Day of Prayer and Action for Children in 2008 to make this an opportunity for people of different religions and cultures to come together to pray and meditate, but also to take action for children’s rights and well-being.

This year, organizations working for children’s rights and well-being have joined Arigatou International and UNICEF to celebrate the World Day of Prayer and Action for Children and the Wear My Shoes Campaign.

The Wear My Shoes Campaign aims to mobilize children and adults—including religious leaders, policymakers, parents/caregivers, and educators—to advocate for children’s return to school and respond to the impact of school closures during the COVID-19 pandemic on their social, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

This Campaign includes a Wear My Shoes Award to be presented at EXPO 2020 Dubai puts a spotlight on children as agents of change during the COVID-19 Pandemic
