About the Hub

The Southern Africa Learning Hub on Gender-Based Violence and Local Faith Actors is a regional knowledge and collaboration platform dedicated to advancing faith-informed, evidence-based responses to gender-based violence (GBV) across Southern Africa—specifically in Zambia, Malawi, and Zimbabwe. Rooted in a vision of shared learning and collective action, the Hub brings together researchers, development practitioners, policymakers, and local faith actors to address the complex and growing challenge of GBV in the region. By fostering inclusive spaces for dialogue, co-creation, and research, the Hub seeks to generate original insights, bridge critical knowledge gaps, and translate evidence into transformative policy and practice.

What We Do

Strengthen Evidence Generation

We promote collaborative, context-specific research on GBV, faith, and social norms to inform inclusive, survivor-centered policies and programming.

Facilitate Knowledge Exchange

The Hub offers a platform for local faith leaders, researchers, and practitioners to engage in dialogue, share learning, and highlight best practices in faith-based GBV interventions.

Influence Policy and Practice

We amplify the voices and lived experiences of local faith actors in national and regional GBV policy arenas, ensuring their contributions shape meaningful, rights-based, and faith-informed responses.
