For the past 50 years, we have been on a journey to shape and outwork a distinctively Christian, faith-based approach, with the communities, individuals and supporters we partner with, at home and overseas. It is not enough for us simply to be ‘Christians doing development’: we want our faith to be tightly interwoven into how we work and the impact we have.
We have pioneered, adapted, trialled and learnt to ensure faith is intertwined with all three core strands of our work: development, humanitarian response and advocacy. As we pursue our vision to go where the need is greatest, that means integrating our faith in ways that are responsive and sensitive to the context and culture – while remaining true to our values.
