In 2021, CWS completed a study on perceptions of climate change, adaptation, and migration in five countries where they support locally led adaptation. Drawing on more than 200 interviews and 26 focus groups, the report shares how farmers and rural families feel climate change in their daily lives, and how climate is already a factor in migration. The report highlights recommendations that came from interviews and community discussions, including ways to increase resilience in increasingly harsh climate conditions, and to incorporate safe and dignified migration into adaptation planning and climate action.
