About JLI

An international collaboration on evidence for faith actors’ activities, contributions, and challenges to achieving humanitarian and development goals. Founded in 2012, JLI came together with a single shared conviction: there is an urgent need to build our collective understanding, through evidence, of faith actors in humanitarianism and development.

JLI is delighted to announce exciting leadership updates that will strengthen our mission and global reach.

We warmly welcome four outstanding new members to our Board:

  • Steve Chiu, Tzu Chi Foundation
  • Peter Mandaville, George Mason University
  • Michael Reid Trice, Seattle University
  • Tapiwa Yemeke, Läkarmissionen / LM International

These leaders bring a wealth of expertise in faith engagement, global development, advocacy, and community resilience.

We are also pleased to welcome Dr Nora Khalaf-Elledge as JLI’s new Senior Researcher. With more than 15 years of experience in gender, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), and faith-based research and advocacy, Nora will play a key role in advancing JLI’s research and learning initiatives.
