In this era of rapid change and growing social challenges, there is an urgent need for platforms where faith and social welfare can converge. With this vision in mind, a consultation was held on April 29 at a local hotel in Islamabad, titled: “New Narrative for Faith Based Interventions.”
This consultation was jointly organized by UNICEF, the Joint Learning Initiative on Faith and Local Communities (JLI), and the Alliance for Rethinking Coalition (ARC), bringing together religious scholars, civil society representatives, and education experts from across the country.
The atmosphere was serious yet full of hope. Every speaker agreed that religion is not confined to rituals alone: it is a comprehensive way of life that offers guidance on daily struggles and social issues.Religious scholars emphasized that their role should not remain limited to the pulpit and prayer niche, but must extend to raising their voices on critical issues such as child health, education, and protection. They stated that when messages of goodness are conveyed in the language of faith, they touch hearts and transform behavior.
ARC representatives shared that their platform aims to unite scholars and people from diverse schools of thought to find religious and intellectual solutions to contemporary issues. This initiative is a step toward engaging faith circles more actively in the promotion of peace, tolerance, harmony, and youth well-being.
One of the most beautiful aspects of the consultation was that individuals with different perspectives sat together, listened, understood, and learned from each other’s experiences. In the end, all participants pledged to use the light of faith in their own regions to bring about social betterment.
This gathering was not just a one-day meeting, it marked the beginning of a new direction. A direction where faith, knowledge, and service to humanity walk hand in hand.

اسلام آباد– پاکستان میں مذہبی اسکالرز اور سماجی رہنماؤں کی کلیدی مشاورت – عقیدے کی بنیاد پر مداخلت کے لیے نیا بیانیہ تیزی سے تبدیلی اور بڑھتے ہوئے سماجی چیلنجوں کے اس دور میں، ایسے پلیٹ فارمز کی اشد ضرورت ہے جہاں ایمان اور سماجی بہبود آپس میں مل سکے۔ اس وژن کو ذہن میں رکھتے ہوئے، 29 اپریل کو اسلام آباد کے ایک مقامی ہوٹل میں ایک مشاورت کا انعقاد کیا گیا، جس کا عنوان تھا: “عقیدہ پر مبنی مداخلتوں کے لیے نیا بیانیہ۔” یہ مشاورت یونیسیف، جوائنٹ لرننگ انیشیٹو آن فیتھ اینڈ لوکل کمیونٹیز (JLI) اور الائنس فار ری تھنکنگ کولیشن (ARC) نے مشترکہ طور پر منعقد کی تھی، جس میں ملک بھر سے مذہبی اسکالرز، سول سوسائٹی کے نمائندوں اور تعلیمی ماہرین کو اکٹھا کیا گیا تھا۔ ماحول سنجیدہ لیکن امید سے بھرا ہوا تھا۔ ہر مقرر نے اس بات پر اتفاق کیا کہ مذہب صرف رسومات تک محدود نہیں ہے: یہ زندگی کا ایک جامع طریقہ ہے جو روزمرہ کی جدوجہد اور سماجی مسائل پر رہنمائی فراہم کرتا ہے۔
مذہبی اسکالرز نے اس بات پر زور دیا کہ ان کا کردار صرف منبر اور نماز کے مقام تک محدود نہیں رہنا چاہیے بلکہ بچوں کی صحت، تعلیم اور تحفظ جیسے اہم مسائل پر اپنی آواز بلند کرنا چاہیے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ جب ایمان کی زبان میں نیکی کے پیغامات پہنچائے جاتے ہیں تو وہ دلوں کو چھوتے ہیں اور طرز عمل کو بدل دیتے ہیں۔ ARC کے نمائندوں نے اشتراک کیا کہ ان کے پلیٹ فارم کا مقصد مختلف مکاتب فکر سے تعلق رکھنے والے علماء اور لوگوں کو عصری مسائل کے مذہبی اور فکری حل تلاش کرنے کے لیے متحد کرنا ہے۔ یہ اقدام امن، رواداری، ہم آہنگی اور نوجوانوں کی فلاح و بہبود کے فروغ میں مذہبی حلقوں کو زیادہ فعال طور پر شامل کرنے کی جانب ایک قدم ہے۔ مشاورت کا سب سے خوبصورت پہلو یہ تھا کہ مختلف نقطہ نظر رکھنے والے افراد ایک دوسرے کے ساتھ بیٹھتے، سنتے، سمجھتے اور ایک دوسرے کے تجربات سے سیکھتے۔ آخر میں، تمام شرکاء نے اپنے اپنے علاقوں میں ایمان کی روشنی کو سماجی بہتری لانے کے لیے استعمال کرنے کا عہد کیا۔ یہ اجتماع صرف ایک روزہ اجلاس نہیں تھا، اس نے ایک نئی سمت کا آغاز کیا۔ ایک ایسی سمت جہاں ایمان، علم اور انسانیت کی خدمت ساتھ ساتھ چلتے ہیں۔
