Faith actors across Asia-Pacific reaffirm commitment to accelerate SDG achievement through moral leadership, resilience, and compassion.
In a world of widening inequalities, deepening climate emergencies, and shrinking civic spaces, the Asia Pacific Faith-Based Coalition for Sustainable Development (APFC) stands as a united beacon of hope. On 24 April 2025, APFC members founding organizations ACT Alliance, World Vision, Soka Gakkai International, Islamic Relief, Arigatou International, and new knowledge partner JLI gathered in Bangkok to reaffirm their shared commitment to building a just, inclusive, and resilient Asia-Pacific. Congratulations to World Vision Asia Pacific on being nominated as the new convener of APFC, with Soka Gakkai International supporting the smooth transition of leadership.

At this pivotal gathering, members pledged collective action across six critical SDGs from ending poverty to advancing peace, justice, climate action, gender equality, and transformative partnerships. The coalition call for lasting change demands more than technical solutions, it requires faith-driven leadership rooted in human dignity, resilience, and hope. See the post-meeting statement below.
At JLI, we believe faith is not just belief it is courage, action, and an enduring call to justice. We are committed to amplifying the voices of local faith communities, bridging evidence with advocacy, and building transformative interfaith collaborations for sustainable change. Together, with conviction and compassion, we are forging a future where justice, peace, and dignity are not distant dreams, but daily realities.
Join us in advancing faith-driven change for a just and compassionate world.
