About JLI

An international collaboration on evidence for faith actors’ activities, contributions, and challenges to achieving humanitarian and development goals. Founded in 2012, JLI came together with a single shared conviction: there is an urgent need to build our collective understanding, through evidence, of faith actors in humanitarianism and development.

JLI is happy to announce Rima Alshawkani has joined the JLI as the Project and Finance Assistant. Prior to joining the JLI, Rima served in a number of capacities.

She assisted in establishing and managing the Acacia Foundation in Yemen for development, a non-profit organization focused on preservation, education, and promotion of arts. She also founded and supervised a recreational program named Pay it Forward to serve the youth, poor and disabled in Yemen. In recent years in the United States, she collaborated with different organizations to promote fundraising efforts and campaigns to help the people of Yemen. Rima’s educational background is in Finance. She formerly worked as a budget analyst and financial assistant. Rima is excited to join JLI and continue her work in the dynamic non-profit sector.

Join us in welcoming Rima to the team. She will be assisting with consultant coordination, finance, and projects. You can reach Rima at [email protected]
