About JLI

An international collaboration on evidence for faith actors’ activities, contributions, and challenges to achieving humanitarian and development goals. Founded in 2012, JLI came together with a single shared conviction: there is an urgent need to build our collective understanding, through evidence, of faith actors in humanitarianism and development.

This interfaith workshop at the Ecumenical Center in Geneva discussed the findings of their recently published report entitled ‘Keeping the Faith: The Role of Faith Leaders in the Ebola Response, and particularly the role faith leaders have played in halting the spread of the virus .

The panelists are hoping that their report will be used as a blue print for future challenges. According to the Chief of the World Humanitarian Summit Secretariat , Dr. Mahmood, she will present it at the U.N.’s Global Consultations in anticipation of the First World Humanitarian Summit in Istanbul 2016.
