FECCLAHA is a regional ecumenical organization that provides a platform for its members to share perspectives on issues of common concern, particularly with regard to peace building and conflict transformation in the Great Lakes and Horn of Africa. It focuses on four programme themes: Peace Building and Conflict Transformation, Governance, Gender & Youth, & Human Security. It engages in advocacy for peace, elections observation, Pre and Post Elections engagements, Gender Justice, Youth for Peace Programme through establishing Youth Peace Clubs, creating awareness on the proliferation of SALWs and on Human Trafficking.

FECCLAHA has been equipping and challenging church leaders to break the silence on Gender Based Violence through a campaign known as the Tamar Campaign. FECCLAHA has documented a Contextual Bible Study Manual on Gender Based Violence that contains Contextual Bible Studies from different Bible passages.
