To facilitate greater exchange of grassroots knowledge, resources, best practices, and lessons learned, The Carter Center’s “Forum on Women Religion, Violence and Power” is conducting a series of guest interviews to sustain both public and private conversations about critical and timely issues. In recognition of International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the center interviewed Mohammed Nuruddeen Lemu, who is the director of research and training at the Da’wah Institute of Nigeria and the assistant general secretary of Islamic Education Trust (IET) in Minna.
