The JLI MEAL Hub is launching the compendium of Good Practices on Conducting MEAL in Partnerships with International Actors and Local Faith Actors.

The launch will feature the organizations contributing stories of change with a Q&A and discussion on the findings of the research and possible next steps.

Panelists:

Ana Maria Daou, Adyan Foundation (Lebanon): Ana Maria completed her M.A in Conflict Resolution in Divided Societies at King’s College, London. Her thesis explored the role of practical interfaith dialogue in the Lebanese peacebuilding and reconciliation process. She currently holds the position of Community Engagement Coordinator at Adyan Foundation. Her scope of work focuses on the organization’s networks in Lebanon and Iraq as well as the programme of Religious Social Responsibility for religious leaders and activists. Daou has also co-authored the book chapters, journal articles and reports on topics of inter-religious dialogue, peace-building, and sustainable development. 

Joan Anderson, Soka Gakkai International (Japan): Joan Anderson is originally from Scotland, UK. Her career began with magazine editing, then she spent ten years working for UK-based NGOs VSO and Save the Children, latterly as director of Save the Children’s programme in Cambodia. Pursuing an interest in Buddhism and empowerment, she then moved to Japan to work for the Soka Gakkai International (SGI) Buddhist network, helping to develop their communications outreach and NGO activities, particularly in the field of sustainable development.

Daryn Go, International Care Ministries (Philippines): Daryn Joy O. Go is a research associate from International Care Ministries (ICM). She received her B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Applied Economics from De La Salle University – Manila. Her research interests include the development of spiritual growth metrics, pastoral care and church health research, income and poverty research, and disaster-risk analysis. Prior to joining ICM, she worked as a research assistant in the CHED-PHERNet Sustainability Studies Program Office of De La Salle University. She also spent a year working as a research assistant for De La Salle University’s Angelo King Institute for Economic and Business Studies.
