In 2016 the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) funded World Vision to work with communities in DRC, Uganda and South Sudan over two years to change attitudes, promote community acceptance of survivors and children born of rape, and improve locally managed systems to prevent and respond to sexual violence. The project focused on working with multiple stakeholders, including faith leaders, youth leaders and women’s groups. After the project concluded, a study was conducted in July 2018 in South Sudan and found that there had been changes to attitudes and practices related to sexual violence at individual and community level, specifically for survivors and children born of rape.

We invite you to join this joint Disaster Management, Peacebuilding and Faith & Development webinar to hear about the project/case study, the impact it had and discuss how this applies to our work.
