Friends of the Global Fight Against AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria has recently released “A Critical Partnership: The Lifesaving Collaboration between the Global Fund and Faith-Based Organizations,” a report that helps quantify Global Fund collaboration with faith-based organizations, recognize the important role these organizations are playing, and highlight opportunities for deepened collaboration.
Faith communities have a long history of leadership in the implementation of health care worldwide and have been integral partners to the Global Fund since it was first established. This manual has the potential to help faith-based organizations looking to get involved, or more deeply involved, in the fight against HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. It also serves as a useful illustration of the depth and breadth of the Global Fund’s commitment to engaging with faith groups.
